Ten years of hope….

And we can hope and dream that before the next ten years are up a cure is found..

This is the end of the last day of Fantasy Faire’s big Tenth Anniversary event. Started in 2008. And I’ve been blogging it since 2012, more then half of its time on the grid.

I feel so honored to be a blogger for those years. Every year I get told I am selected once again makes my heart soar. And I hope to still be able to do so for as long as the Faire is around and needed.

This year I am grateful that no one in my life has been lost or lost a love one to Cancer during the run. I still have some fighting it but they are on the winning side of their battles right now if not almost beaten it.

One day this fight will be over for EVERYONE and the Fairelands Junction will forever fade into the mist. with perhaps maybe one last hurrah as a party to celebrate the end of Cancer.

This past year was not that year, but we still dealt the Unweaver a HUGE blow with the funds raised in the time the lands where up. The extended Time in the sims have allowed the faire to collect $42,169 USD or over ELEVEN MILLION in Lindens. IN TWO WEEKS . And all of it going to build the Hope Hostel in Kenya. That’s a MASSIVE strike against Cancer. Its going to help so many people that previously could not be reached.

But I will keep hoping that a cure will be found, and keep Relaying to find it and to help those with Cancer.

Fantasy Faire 2018 sim – Ardessa

Ardessa by Éclair Martinek. – Fairelands Quest: The House of Garland
Ardessa hosts this year’s Fairelands Quest: the location where all the brave adventurers will do their best to aid the Bard Queen.

And here we have the last sim. Its a beautiful sim with so much hidden in its forests I could spend hours or days finding it all. But it is also the QUEST sim and so I was on a search for those items! I do highly recommend doing the quest. Theres a link up above and on every sim you can get a stand alone hud for 250L or one with an outfit by Silvan Moon Designs for 350L. Male and female versions. Both Hud packages give you the hud, and a shoulder version of Cheer the Dragon. which you get to keep at the end of the hunt. And besides those you get a TON of prizes for your small fee and that link doesn’t even show ALL of them.

I think this was my favorite quest to date. Did NOT see the end coming! The quest will take you to all of the fairelands, and give you a prize that matches the build, and then to Adressa for the rest..

Aside from being the quest sim it also hosts the virtual Hope Hostel Which every 500L donated to the kiosk in front will make more appear. Though I think by now it is fully built. The hostel is to represent the one that the funds raised by Fantasy Faire this year will help build. Which at the moment is $42,918.67 thats US dollars not lindens!

You have till Monday the 7th to do the quest!! It wont take to long take friend!

So many elegant shops here! many old favs and some new ones. And of course the Creators store Fallen gods which is one of the best fantasy skin stores out there! However, despite Alia doing his best to heal the sim, my computer is old and needs an upgrade and still didn’t like it. But that’s not the sims fault..but I only got a few shots in before I had to give up and not blog the rest of the items I could have.

I so need a new comp for next years Fantasy Faire!

Silvan Moon Designs did both of the outfits I have on for this sim. This one here is the lovely Golden Age Baroque gown. I love the fabrics and the sheer sleeves. I paired it with a necklace by On a Lark called Memorial Locket Eternal Circle and the best part of this locket is you can add a photo inside it! I didn’t but you can see a close up of it here

The second outfit. again by Silvan Moon Designs is also a baroque gown called Lady of Shalot. Its a simpler day gown style instead of the formal court gown of the other one but still quite lovely!

And lastly rez items! I WAS SO HAPPY to get some of the stunning Glass ornaments by Balderdash that you can see in the Junctions. So pretty and sparkly! I also picked up the Flying Origami Cranes by Boudoir as they are cute, and they move around in a circle when rezzed!

So here is the last of the shopping sims. After this its just the quest sim. And we have a FULL EXTRA WEEK OF FAIRE to do shopping and questing !! The sims will be open till May 7th!

Aetherea, has quite a story behind it, and not tied to the build story. That kinda mirrors the cancer journey. It rose from the faire mist a shining beacon of beauty, then, when faire opened, the sim got sick so very sick. I don’t know how other then it was so bad Lindens got involved, the sim got taken offline, wiped clean and Alia even rebuilt the entire thing and a new sim was put in place. Looked the same but, healthier. There’s a video here

Now, other then that. Aetherea is a stunning floating marble and gold city in the sky. White and glorious and peaceful. but then something happened. And she turned black, during Alia’s Jail and Bail. The funds raised in that, with a balance scale, determined how much of the city stayed white and how much stayed black. Read more here

I so wish I could have been to that but my comp needs an upgrade and I just cant manage jail and bails with decent graphics! Gotta get an upgrade for next year!

I love all the little things scattered about this sim, the altar offerings, the petals, the flying fish. The small details really make it.

As said before Tiny Town is THE place for Tiny avatars! So many shops focused on them! I had a few outfits that fit my normal avatar then went…what the heck and switched to several full tiny avatars, One of which is FREE at the hubs and the other is also at every hub not just on Tiny Town!

Lets start with one of my fav shots here. This is set up on the sim so you to can get your photo taken with all these tinies! And in it I am wearing the Aquitaine Gown by Little to large which is just a lovely colorful gown that fit in well with the colors of Tiny Town. I paired it with !Lyrical B!zarre’s – Histrya Necklace & Crown which are elegant items and come in a few metals and stone colors you can see a close up here

the other dress is by Jenara called Darla and it is a sweet short lil thing and the hud comes with a LOT of colors and patterns to chose from. I’ve got with me two gacha items from Yoaki’s Dragon Dust Gacha the – Flower Dragon and Baby dragon So very cute!

Now onto the FULL avatars! First up is the ADORABLE Mercat avatar by Tiny Inc, This comes with sooo many options, for color, tops, tailfins glitters…just so highly customizable! I went with pink of course. And it comes with an AO so you can go for a nice swim with out getting a secondary mermaid AO.

Next up is one of the avatars you can get at any hud in the fairelands Titan’s Cheer Dragon. Its an avatar version of the dragon that goes with you on the faire quest! Very cute and a fun way to remember the quest.

And lastly here we have a TOTALLY FREE full tiny avatar by Titan’s. Called the Minkie it is also available at every sim hub!

And lastly some rez items. Here we have just a few of the many lovely garden items by Adorably Strange Wares in their Lost Forest Collection and Void arts Candle holder for the faire!

Welcome to Tiny Town! Tiny Capital since the dawn of tiny time! All the Waffles you eat came from here. All those things you say “awwr!!! so cute” to, were born here and all the colors you know of were here before anyone ever saw them!
For this special occasion Tiny Town opens the door to their world… Or in the case of those biggies they just blew a hole in the wall. Tiny Town welcomes everyone big or small, winged or finned! Rivvrdanz with us all night!

Tiny Town is the most adorable place on the entire grid and if you do not agree with this THEN YOU ARE WRONG. A home for those cute lil critters that many people chose to play, many are scattered about the town doing tiny things. There is of course waffles, and wootjuice and just, all over cuteness. I love the paint splattered parchment look that the buildings walls have . All the bits and bobs from other sims the builder has made for Fantasy faire, like the balloons and the pennants.

The castle in the center and the windmills add more whimsy to the already whimsical sim. This is just a place to go to feel good.

There are tiny’s scattered about the town and a big group of them you can pose with as well! Most of the shops sell tiny related things and there is even a free one you can get at the hub if you want to walk about the town in style!

Willows has some lovely stores on it, a good mix of them too so theres something for everyone here I’d say. I’ve got a few nice outfits to show you so lets get to that. OH and check out the gacha’s at the landing point! Some great items themed to all the sims!

We’ll start with a gorgous gown by Senzafine called Lothiriel in the hope color. I really love the brocade texture on it. I paired it with a necklace from Titans called the Bard Queens Legacy it uses the Faire logo and you can see a close up of it here

Next is a gown by Les Enchanted called Lucrezia in a really lush shade of green and like I want to pet the velvet texture of it and the gemstones at the neckline just sparkle. I paired it with another Logo necklace that is a Ultra rare from a Gacha by Harshlands, its from their FF X Necklace gacha and is the Her High Faireness And there’s a close up of it here

Next is another gown by Les Enchanted and its a cute lil fairy number called Petal. It’s a short sassy thing and I really like it.

The last outfit I have for you is by EvelineIntheBox called Evangeline , its got a slightly modern princess feel to it, and again is one of those that REALLY puts the materials function to work!

And now for all the rez items, I somehow ended up with a lot of table and chairs so I kinda…went with the them on those *laughs* From left to right Partner’s in crime’s Eklund table Set , Simply Shelbie’s Enchanted Butterfly Table, Mistique Fairy Chair and Fairy Tree seat *the pod looking thing* and lastly the one none seating thing Harshlands FF 2018 Memorial Stone

Willows weep into the waters of time poured out by Nienna, the Lady of Compassion, who rules this land, a place of rest where travelers come to find comfort in grief. Here in her tranquil garden of tears, Nienna teaches the endurance of the spirit and the power of hope and time to heal.

This sim is just, calming. You can sit for hours among the willows on the banks of the water and just, feel so at peace. It has a simplistic but regale beauty to it. The focal point of it all is the goddess statue spilling water out of a bowl as if to calm you with the sound.

It’s a welcoming sim. Just find a spot and relax in it.

Fantasy Faire 2018 Sim – The Halls of Story

The Halls of Story by Elicio Ember. – Literary Festival & Live at the Fairechylde 
Once upon a time there was a race of ancient beings, older than humans, older than dwarves, some say even older than the elves and the folk. These beings were story-tellers and song-singers, their songs and stories shaped many cultures. This is their Hall. Here they gathered many of their tales. Some were light and happy, some were sad, some were dark. Some were even dangerous. As the aeons passed, these beings faded into story themselves, and the hall fell silent and in the end, it was forgotten. It was the Elves who found it anew, restored it, and opened it and its tales to all races and realms. Since then, the Halls of Story have gathered tales from many times, races, and places, and some say…even many realities. Welcome to the Halls of Story.

I have decided that it is impossible for Elicio Ember to not make a just stunningly gorgeous sim. Like not just by a contract of some sort, but I am pretty sure it would physically hurt him if he made an ugly or even plain sim.

The Halls of Story is the home of the Literary Festival this year, and as they are having special George R. R. Martin events the halls are decked in Game of Thrones insignia.

The Halls themselves is a stunning glass and stone building perched atop a cliff so that the sun can hit them just right to let it glimmer into the building and highlight the statue at the end on a small dais. To one side of the building is the port for Fantay Faires flag ship, the Fairechylde. Lounging area’s, bookshelves, tables and chairs are scattered about waiting for someone to come hear or tell a story.

Small Gardens, Fountains, gazebos and a store for Elico’s items, including some of the parts of the sim, are scattered about the rest of the sim.

ALSO GOOD NEWS! Thanks to the Linden’s Jail and Bail, the sims are being kept open till MAY 7TH! The last event is on Sunday but you can still come and shop and do the hunt for another week!

Fantasy Faire 2018 Sim – Severina – creators

If you are into the Goth look this is THE sim for you! there is also the store for the sim sponsors called Battle Breedables which, looks interesting but I have no idea what its about. I may look ino it.

But really….all the goth stores! Check it out!

First up is a stunning sleek purple and black gown by Goth1c0 called Soul Long Gown. I paired it with a necklace from The Little Bat called Kur that was practacaly MADE to go with this gown as it fits so well in the neckline! The necklace is color change and you can get a close up of the charm here Its a multicolored scale pattern

Next is a fiery gown by Roped Passions called Phoenix Rising. It comes with the gown, necklace, head piece and some bits I am not wearing, wings and ankle bands. The necklace says HOPE and you can see it closer here

This is another outfit by Roped Passions and again is everything you see here, except the necklace , plus there are boots. The necklace is by The Little Bat again and is called Ryu and like the other is color change and there is a close up here

Now for the rez items! We have here Oubliette’s Witch Tapestry , which comes with a hud that changes the pattern on it. Icaland’s Book candle holder which is just perfect for a magic library And by Kaerri I have a Unicorn statue and bits of their Aljana Set, which is an amazing Moroccan themed room set including all manner of furniture, plants and even walls and oors!
